What is the probability that a vowel is selected on the first draw?

Just seeing if I get this.

42 vowels 100 letters
42/100 = 21/50

It keeps telling me to divide to get answer not getting this part
choices are 3/25 21/50 2/7 3/22
So I was thinking 2 goes into 42 - 21 times and 2 goes into 100- 50 times.
Am I on the right track?

    prob(a vowel) = 42/100 = 21/50
