Consider 100g of mix

If there are x g of grade 1, then the rest (100-x) is grade 2.
So now make sure that 1.22 * cost = selling price
1.22(30/50 x + 20/25 (100-x)) = 96
I was at first surprised by the result, but it makes sense. Why?
