Please guys can you help me this question#

The average weight of three boys is 15 kg.Two of them have the same weight and the third boy has weight of 11 kg. What is the weight of other two boys?

Does this question need weight of each boy or the weight of two boys altogether when commenting the answer?
Which is correct answer in accordance to the question above👆 answer be 34 kg or 17kg

Anyone to explain please.

"Two of them have the same weight and the third boy has weight of 11 kg"

3 * 15 kg = 45 kg

45 kg - 11 kg = 34 kg ... 34 kg / 2 = 17 kg

geez, kev, how many times you gonna ask this same question?

It's been answered half a dozen times now!!

(x+x+11)/3 = 15.

x + x +11 = 45,
2x = 34,
X = 17 kg = Wt. of each boy.

To find the weight of the other two boys, you need to subtract the weight of the third boy (11 kg) from the average weight of the three boys.

The average weight of three boys is given as 15 kg. Since two of them have the same weight, let's assume their weight is 'x' kg. We know that the third boy weighs 11 kg.

To find 'x', we can use the average formula: (Sum of all weights) / (Number of boys).
In this case, the sum of all weights is (11 kg + x kg + x kg) = (11 + 2x) kg.

So, the average weight of the three boys is (11 + 2x) kg divided by 3.
Since this is given as 15 kg, we can set up an equation:

(11 + 2x) kg / 3 = 15 kg

Now, we can solve this equation to find the value of 'x', which will give us the weight of the other two boys.

First, multiply both sides of the equation by 3 to get rid of the denominator:

11 + 2x = 45

Next, subtract 11 from both sides:

2x = 34

Finally, divide both sides by 2 to solve for 'x':

x = 17

Therefore, the weight of the other two boys is 17 kg each. The total weight of the other two boys combined is 34 kg (17 kg + 17 kg).
