How do you find a area in a complex figure?
you break it up into triangles or rectangles, whose areas are easy to figure.
Then just add them all up.
wow two years and no answer
Do I add it, multiply all the numbers.. or divide them?

I’m pretty dumb to be in 6th grade but i’m pretty sure the answer is 1,863m^2
unit test pt.2 answers for the question as an example here it is....
1. i divided the shape into three different shapes 2 of these were equivalent to each other. so i just x2 what i got from doing the original rectangle.
2. the math in doing the equivalent shapes area was the 23 width x 31 height x2 bc there was not length included, i got 1224, since the two areas are the same, x2 yet again... 2448.
3. the third shape, this was exhausting i did extra math cuz i forgot to include EVERYTHING in my note book but it was correct anyways, so we need to get width, subtract 12 ( the erea length before we get to the third shape) with 31 the other way around tho.... 31-12=21
4. now we have to get the third shapes erea 21+23x2= 88
now add this with the answer from the last number... 88+2,448=2,536... DONT copy and paste, i didnt use a calculator, so pls aware me of my mistakes good bye!
