I suppose links CAN have viruses but this one probably does not. However, here is a mental (or you can actually do it physically) exercise to find the answer if you don't want to read to get the answer.

Think of a table with a pencil on it in an upright position (vertical that is). Now think of the sun below the edge of the table. There is no light being cast above the table so no shadow. Now let the sun rise to the edge of the table. Will it cast a shadow from the pencil? Now let the sun go higher and higher until it is directly overhead. Where and how long will the shadow be? Now let the sun travel to the other side of the table. How about the shadow at sunset? You don't need to read a link to figure this out.

Most of us are retired teachers/college professors and we volunteer (no pay that is) to help students who need help. We pick our user names, just as you do, so we can have any name we choose as long as it is not inappropriate for the web site. As for the titles, I have a doctor's degree in chemistry. That is a Ph. D. Physicians have an M. D. degree and are called doctors. I spent more time in school getting a Ph. D. than most physicians do getting an M. D. For whatever it's worth to you, none of these degrees are given away. Thanks for using Jiskha.

And I was thinking why am I the only one who nobody answers his question accept from teachers and collage professors? And I saw one of the answers by Ms.Sue and she answered it like with A,B,C or D but me nothing just links and stuff๐Ÿ˜”

I didn't observe anything Ms.Sue and what do u mean?? and how am I going to observe it and you didn't give any answers the link I don't wanna open it it have viruses.

it may have viruses*

Thanks, and I opened the link and it didn't have viruses. Plus why you all have Dr. and Ms. in your names?? Are you teachers?? And doctors??

Oh sorry for all the questioning Dr.Bob ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜

Not a problem and you're welcome.

Plus why did Ms.Sue say come on in a weird way๐Ÿค”

If you will go back and read what Ms. Sue wrote, as I did, she didn't say "Come on in---" She said "Aw--come on--surely you have .......". She was saying, in a very nice way, that she was certain that you had observed shadow's and the effect of the time of day and that she was almost positive that you could answer that on your on. Then the next post she gave you the link so you could read about it.

oh okay๐Ÿ˜

Plus their is no students in here (in my question) and no one answered accept you and Ms.Sue

Jiskha is mainly for our volunteer teachers to help students. Every time someone looks at a site, it is registered. If you look at a post 10 times, it will register as having been looked at 10 times.

Oh okay Ms.Sue but I didn't look at it 89 times

You didn't look at it 89 times but it was looked at by SOMEONE a total of 89 times. I've looked at it probably 10, you've looked at probably 10 or more times, Ms. Sue looked at it four or five times, and other tutors looked at it but chose not to respond.

OK THANKS AGAIN ๐Ÿ˜

Mrs. Sue. don't come on here if you're only here to be a critic. this site is to ask questions and get answeres. not to go " Aw -- come on -- surely you have observed when shadows are longest."

thank you for you time!

oops. didn't mean to text that I just read the rest of the comments. sorry i pressed the wrong button. my bad

Aw -- come on -- surely you have observed when shadows are longest.
