Help meh please I need the whole answers I'm stuck

What are the perimeter and area of a triangle with a length of 20 inches and a with of 15 inches(1 point)

First of all, you have to find the formula for the triangle. For perimeter you add so I believe that you add 20 and 15 to get the perimeter. For area you multiply. The formula for this is 1/2 x b x h so I would believe it is 20 x 15 divide by 2 (1/2 is the same as 2 when you use this formula) now im only young and if im wrong im sorry but I think this is right, is it multiple choice?

If it is multiple choice can I see the choices?

rectangles have length and width. Triangles have three sides.

So, if you meant rectangle, then since there are 2 each of length and width, the perimeter is

2(length+width) = 2(20+15) = 70
area = length x width

If you meant triangle, then the area is indeed 1/2 bh, but just specifying base and height of a triangle does not give enough information to get the perimeter.

To find the perimeter and area of a triangle, we need to know the length of the sides or other measurements such as the height or angles. In the given question, only the length and width are provided, which suggests that it might not be a triangle.

A triangle usually has three sides, and the sum of the lengths of any two sides should be greater than the length of the third side, based on the triangle inequality theorem. However, with only the length and width given, we cannot determine if it is a triangle.

If you have additional information about the triangle, such as the length of another side or the value of an angle, please provide it so that I can help you calculate the perimeter and area accurately.
