I think you mean unit of value.
If you travel 200 miles on 10 gallons of gas, then the unit of value is 20 miles per 1 gallon.
200 / 20 = 10
If apples cost $4.50 for 3 lbs, how much will one pound cost?
4.50 / 3 = 1.50 for one pound
