- 9 p - 17 = 10

- 9 p - 17 + 17 = 10 + 17

- 9 p = 27

Divide both sides by - 9

p = 27 / - 9

p = - 3

3. Answers 2 , 3 and 5 are correct.

You probably not write question 4 correct because:

- 2 ( m - 30 ) = 6 m

- 2 ∙ m - 2 ∙ 30 = 6 m

- 2 m - 60 = 6m

- 2 m - 60 + 60 = 6m + 60

- 2 m = 6 m + 60

Subtract 6 m to both sides

- 2 m - 6 m = 6 m + 60 - 6 m

- 8 m = 60

Divide both sides by - 8

m = 60 / - 8 =

- 4 ∙ 15 / 4 ∙ 2

= - 15 / 2
