    - 2 ( m - 30 ) = 6 m

    - 2 ∙ m - 2 ∙ 30 = 6 m

    - 2 m - 60 = 6m

    Add 60 to both sides

    - 2 m - 60 + 60 = 6m + 60

    - 2 m = 6 m + 60

    Subtract 6 m to both sides

    - 2 m - 6 m = 6 m + 60 - 6 m

    - 8 m = 60

    Divide both sides by - 8

    m = 60 / - 8 =

    - 4 ∙ 15 / 4 ∙ 2

    = - 15 / 2
