This novel did have an impact on me as a reader. I would recommend it to a friend because it has life events could still happen and probably have. It has rules you need to follow and when you break them there isn't a good outcome. I am really surprised that Kenny went in the pool with the "Pool Wooh" instead of Byron when the sign clearly said not to go in and saying no trespassing. Or when Byron was in the tree with a thing cookies and Kenny got in the tree with Byron and started eating the cookies too. That would be my sister and I. It had an impact on me because the characters are kind of/pretty much fit my family. Byron as my older sister, Kenny as me, Joey as my little brother and everyone else in there places/spots.
