The driving distance between Manchester and London is 195 miles. Farris intends to travel from Manchester to London by coach. The coach will leave Manchester at 3:30pm

Fairs assumes that the coach will travel at an average speed of 50 mph.
A) Using his assumptions, work out faris's arrival time in London
It actually turns out that the coach has a lower average speed
B) Describe how this affects the arrival time

The answer is 7:24pm

AS 3:30+(195/50)=7.24
(You have to keep in mind that there are 60 minutes in a hour not a hundred..)

195/50 = hours to travel.

Lower speed = longer time.

how does this affect the arrivel time?

7.24 distance 195divide50add to 3.30.

The arrival time would increase

B) Describe how this affects the arrival time

whats the answer then?

thx everyone that has helped me with the question i am so greatfull

thanks for the help

A)it's 7.24 pm

remember that in an hour's there are 60 minutes, not hundred so by that you can tell do
60
+60
+60
+60
+60
+60
+60=7 hours+30=half an hour
subtract 6 from it,and it's 24
so the answer is 7 hours and 24 minutes =7:24

How do it affect the arrival time
