1. Where is the bathroom?
2. Where is the restroom?
--------------------------------------------------
We use 'bathroom' at home.
We use 'restroom' in public places such as departments, schools or hospitals, etc.
Do you use 'bathroom' frequently in public places such as department stores, etc. in the United States?

asked by rfvv
  1. You can say "bathroom" in public, but it is slightly more polite and appropriate to say "restroom", "washroom", "men's room", or "lady's room".

  2. Both are slightly similar but for formality sake, it is more better to go for "restroom" while in public
