What is quantity and how do you use it.


A quantity is how much you have of a particular quality or substance. You can use it to compare to other quantities to see if they are more or less. Depending on what you desire — more or less — you might adjust the situation to revise your quantity.

Mileage is a quantity — miles per gallon. If you desire greater mileage, you can use gas additives, change engines, modify your driving methods am ong other changes.

Quantity is how much of something we are discussing or which we have. For example, the quantity might be a bushel of apples or 10 feet of lumber or 15 gallons of gasoline.
