When you start your shift, the warehouse has 1,483 ceiling fans. if you pack and ship 32 fans per hour, how many fans will be left in the warehouse at the end of your 8 hour shift?

  1. hi, i'm not sure if you still need the answer but i'll still try to help.

    so to work out this question, you must find out how many fans will be packed in 8 hours.

    you know:
    32 fans / hr

    to find this:
    = 32 x 8 (multiply by 8 because you have an 8 hour shift)
    = 256

    then:
    = 1483 - 256 (original - 8h shift fans)
    = 1227

    therefore, 1227 fans will be left in the warehouse at the end of your 8 hour shift.
