Solve by multiplication principle
2x is greater than 1/9
answer: x is greater than 1/18
asked by
deedee

 2 x > 1/9
divide both sides by 2 AND change direction of arrow
x < 1/18
when you multiply (divide) both sides of an inequality by a negative, you reverse the arrowposted by Damon

Thank you

Think about
x > 1
that would be everything to the left of 1
Now do the algebra, multiply both sides by 1 and reverse arrow:
x < 1 sure enoughposted by Damon
