You want to buy three books that are on sale at 20% off. The original prices of the books are 2.50,4.95 and 6.00 how much will you save? Write it in distributions property and without distribution property. I need help putting it on distribution property and without.

here is with distribution...

1. add all the original prices together
2.50+4.95+6.00=13.45

2. multiply that sum(13.45) by 0.2(0.2 IS THE 20% OFF)
13.45x0.2=2.69

FINAL ANSWER: $2.69

hahaaa Aaliyah it's been 3 years what about that without distubution-

Calculation With Distribution (All steps shown.)

0.2(2.50+4.95+6.00)
0.2(2.50)+0.2(4.95)+0.2+(6.00)
(.50+.99+1.20)
$2.69

Calculation Without Distribution (All steps shown.)
0.2(2.50+4.95+6.00)
0.2(13.45)
$269

This is what you saved by the way, Hope this helped.

I will comment when I get the without distribution!

You could do 20(2.50+4.95+6.00) for non distribution

Oh and some teachers think your cheating when your just trying to find help so to avoid getting in trouble for cheating try to understand the problem and not just copy and paste it.

Did you get without distribution?? i really really need help on this because i have an F in math :'(

i've been stuck for the longest time on the without distribution one and i think that they're the same? i'm a sixth grade Conexus student btw...

Ayva without distribution you add first then multiply, with distribution you multiply 2.50 by .2 4.95 by .2 and 6.00 by .2 (hint: take the decimals out then put them back in ur answer)
