Please help I don't understand how to find my calculations and this is due today

The length of a football field is 100 yards. When you compare geologic time (4.6 billion years) to the length of a football field, you will find that each yard on the field will equal 46 million years, and each 10-yard section will equal 460 million years. Use this information to complete the activity below.
Create a digital model of a football field. Starting at the left and moving forward in time, label the 10-yard lines in years. Using different colors, draw a horizontal line to mark the beginning and end of each of the following periods and eras [note that the years have been rounded up for this activity]:
• Cenozoic era (65 MYA to present)
• Cretaceous period (146‒65 MYA)
• Jurassic period (208‒146 MYA)
• Triassic period (245‒208 MYA)
• Paleozoic era (570‒245 MYA)
• Proterozoic era (2,500‒570 MYA)
• Archean era (3,800‒2,500 MYA)
• Hadean era (4,600‒3,800 MYA)

  1. Ok, I think I got the Calculations but are they correct? The formula is(MYAx1/46)
    • Cenozoic era (65 MYA to present) =1.4 Yards
    • Cretaceous period (146‒65 MYA)=3.1 Yards
    • Jurassic period (208‒146 MYA)=4.5 yards
    • Triassic period (245‒208 MYA)=5.32 yards
    • Paleozoic era (570‒245 MYA)=12.39 yards
    • Proterozoic era (2,500‒570 MYA)=54.3 yards
    • Archean era (3,800‒2,500 MYA)=82.6 yards
    • Hadean era (4,600‒3,800 MYA)=100 yards

  2. Your calculations show that the Hadean era is still going on -- you just ran out of football field.

The Hadean era lasted 800 million years. In this model, each yard on the field will equal 46 million years. 800/46 = 17.4 yards

Achean era lasted 1300 million years. 1300/46 = 28.3 yards

    Take it from there.

  3. Is this right?

    • Cenozoic era (65 MYA to present)=1.4
    • Cretaceous period (146‒65 MYA)=1.7
    • Jurassic period (208‒146 MYA)=1.3
    • Triassic period (245‒208 MYA)=.8
    • Paleozoic era (570‒245 MYA)=7
    • Proterozoic era (2,500‒570 MYA)=41
    • Archean era (3,800‒2,500 MYA)=28.3
    • Hadean era (4,600‒3,800 MYA)=17.39
