Introduction to Graphic Design A

Thanks for checking my question out!

Last semester's geology class worked together to create a review sheet for the final exam. The review sheet contains information that covers 13 chapters worth of content along with tables, graphs, and illustrations. The students in this semester's geology class don't find the review sheet useful because they can't seem to make sense of it. There are no headers or section titles. Plus, there is too much information on it for the students to concentrate on one thing at a time.

Use the passage to answer the question.

8. Identify the major problem(s) in the scenario. Select all that apply. (2 points)

a) The review sheet doesn't provide visual cues to help students find particular information.
b) The review sheet doesn't provide enough information to study adequately for the final exam.
c) The review sheet focuses too much on aesthetics and functionality but doesn't address communication.
d) The review sheet provides too much information at once, causing congnitive overload.

For this question, you have to choose two answer choices.

My Answers: C and D
Could you please check if I'm right?

  1. I agree with D, but not with C. The passage doesn't mention aesthetics.

  2. Thank you for giving your opinion. So, would it be A and D? The reason why I changed one of my answers to A is because a review sheet should have like a table of contents or a header in order to be easily navigated. Not having it can cause difficulties when navigating.

  3. Yes, A and D.

  4. I agree with A. The review sheet has no headers or other clues such as section titles to organize the information and make it accessible. D is partially correct, probably because of the lack of headers and section titles. If it was organized by chapter or topic, the new students could concentrate on one thing at a time.
