Hello, I need help on this. Please help me. I am not coming here for answers like most people, but if you want to give me the answer then I will gladly except it and edit it into my owns words. Potato famine in 1865 in Ireland, and more than 1,000,000 die there. Explorers brought over potato from Americas. Potato important in Ireland from 1580s, when introduced into Ireland from Americas. Soon, main food of Ireland. Only planted one kind of potato, though. When blight struck, it killed most of crop in 1 month! 1865. Desperate people from Ireland flood into America, where potato came from. Tens of thousands come in. Lesson: grow more than one kind of potato.
