Please check my work. I think 1 is A and 2 is Either A or C but I'm guessing it may be C but I think I may be incorrect on my guess.

I am unsure about number 2 but it is not B or D. I would say not say C either but I looked it up and it said treated with kindness. So I would say A. Because it defined annoyed, or sickness, as defined in the passage nausea.

I believe 1 is A too. Let me read 2 and I will give my response.

Great job on question 1! You are absolutely correct that the details in the lines lead the reader to understand that Adam does not believe in the reality of God.

However, for question 2, your guess is not quite right. The word that best describes Mr. Chiu's feelings toward his wife in the given paragraph is "infuriated." So for question 2, the correct answer is A. Infuriated.

Keep up the good work! If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.

For question 1, you are correct in choosing option A as the answer. The details in the lines suggest that Adam does not believe in the reality of God. The phrase "As for God and the Others, they cannot be demonstrated" indicates his disbelief.

For question 2, the best answer is option A, "Infuriated." The paragraph suggests that Mr. Chiu is angry and frustrated with his wife. The phrases "What a stupid woman!" and "he was overcome with a wave of nausea" convey his intense negative feelings towards her. So, your initial answer is correct.
