Nine more than the sum of six minus a number and five equals twenty-one

I am sorry I hit the wrong button and it sent it before i finished can some tell me if i have writen this problem right i think it goes
21=6-x+5+9
would this be they way i write it so i cqan solve it because when i solve it it seems not to have a solution

should have been 6-(x+5)+9=21
..
..
x=-11

check
the number and five >>> -11+5=-6
6 minus that quantity >>> 6-(-6)=12
and 9 more than that >>> 12+9 = 21
