A class of 24 students was asked to identify a team sport in which they have participated. Their responses are shown in the line plot.

a. How many responses are recorded in the line plot?

b. What is the total number of students polled?

c. Give a possible explanation as to why the answers to parts (a) and (b) are different.

A. 28 Responses
B. 24 Students
C. I think because 4 students (or some students) put more than 1 answer, because they have been in more than 1 sport before

  2. idk if we had the same graph but thi was my anwser. A: 18 responses were recorded. B: 24 students were polled. C: The answers of A and B are different because some of the students did not give an answer (which means they didn't participate in any team sport) and some students may have give more the one answer (which means they participated in more than one team sport).

  3. A: 28 students
    B: 24 polled
This is due to students playing more than one sport

  5. A: 28
    B: 24
    C: DON'T COPY AND PASTE!!
The reason why part A and part B are different is because part A was asking for how many TOTAL responses were there and part b was asking for total of students polled. (meaning how many students were asked.

    Hope this helps!
