Math Independent & Dependent.

Hey! I am a Connexus user. I was wondering if anyone could help me on this question because I can't seem to understand independent and dependent variables for some reason. I've tried everything like asking my teacher, doing examples myself, reading from other articles, etc. So can anyone help??

Q. The cost of a student take it to the school is to pay $7. Write an equation that correctly relates to the total cost, c, for a particular number, s, of student tickets purchased Identify the independent and dependent variables.

Thank you to anyone who helps me! :)
