    y= monthly bill

    Made up information:

    AT&T charges $15 as a flat fee and 10cents per minute

    y=15+0.10x

    Verizon charges $18 flat fee and 5cents per minute

    y=18+0.05x

    Set both equation equal to each other:

    15+0.10=18+.05x

    x=60mins

    Now we know that at 60mins, both the company's monthly bill will be the same

    If x > 60, Verizon is cheaper
