2x+c = 8-2x-x^2
x^2 + 4x + c-8 = 0
to have y = 2x+c to be a tangent, there can be only one real root of the quadratic

so b^2 - 4ac = 0
16 - 4(1)(c-8) = 0
16 - 4c + 32 = 0
4c = 48
c = 48/4 = 12

y = 2x+11, y = 8-2x - x^2
