what is the difference between an irrational number and a integer?

PLZ HELP ME!!!

a rational number is what you know as a fraction. It is the ratio of two whole numbers.

3/4, -7/11, etc.

An integer is a rational number with a denominator of 1. Or, more commonly just what you think of as a counting number, but may be negative:

3/1 = 3
-2/1 = -2
and so on

An irrational number cannot be expressed as a fraction. When written down as a decimal, they never terminate, so a decimal value is not exact. There are various kinds of irrational numbers, such as

√2 = 1.414...
e = 2.71828...
π = 3.14159...
∛17 = 2.57128...

The special symbols used on the left give their exact values. The decimal equivalents are just an approximation.

Dear everyone telling ppl not to cheat:

a lot of the people here, myself included, don't really care if we learn anything. the goal is to pass, not to learn at this point. Also if you know anything about the public school system, the objective is never for us to 'learn', it's for them to shove a bunch of knowledge down our throats and then we put it down onto whatever paper or screen they give us. no one is here to be shamed for trying to pass.

Then what are you doing here ;w;

Mr? My teachers can't see this because im using MY COMPUTER, thanks for assuming though!!!!!!

can yall just shut up first of all we all know u cheating @stop cheating because if u weren't gonna cheat then why are you on this site no body never be came rich or smart by being honest that just how life goes cheating and lying so if u have a problem just don't com onto this cite then

Thx steve

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, this site has helped me bring my grades up from F's, like all of them. Don't tell me not to cheat, I ain't cheating, I'm checking my grades before I submit.

Ok I’m here for checking my work I learn my stuff because cheating doesn’t help you in life but you do you if you want to cheat then do it for the people saying stop cheating what are you doing here. If I need help and I don’t know it or sum then I’m going to cheat and I normally go on here to check my answers 🤪🤪🤪🤠 you do you do what you want

Mr.? And what are you doing here might I ask

Gee You Guys Really Know Your Stuff! Thank You Steve!

Irrational numbers are non-terminating, recurring decimal numbers i.e, a decimal expansion that neither terminates nor becomes periodic which cannot be expressed in the form of a fraction. ... Integer is a complete entity that includes every natural number along with its negatives and zero.

To everyone telling us not to cheat:

We DO NOT CARE if we're cheating, everything we're learning isn't even gonna be useful in the future!!! When will we be using 3 ÷ 52 x 82/99 + (72/100 ÷ 18) in real life? ONLY IN TESTS AND QUIZES! WE DON'T NEED THESE ROCKET SCIENCE FORMULAS AND QUESTIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL! And we're cheating because WE DON'T DESERVE TO DEAL WITH THIS MESSED UP AND TRASHY SCHOOL SYSTEM. We DON'T NEED and I repeat, DON'T NEED! these lessons and piles of homework to do when we could be doing something else that could possibly be useful other than have tons and tons of schoolwork that's above our heads and that we'd forget in 5 seconds flat. I don't understand why so many of you are defending the fact that these schools and tests are ruining us and that we have to do so much of it or else we'll "go homeless" "on the streets begging for money". We have more to do than just pointless homework and school that isn't gonna be needed when we're 18. Thanks for reading.

Thank you steve, you angel of mathematics

Ima be honest Mr.? and other people who say this is "cheating" none of this stuff is gonna help you in the real world its just something that keeps us students busy so the teachers can earn there little paychecks or whatever because nobody in the real world is gonna ask you any of this because in the end its never gonna help anyone now maybe for some stuff but you dont need to learn all this stuff for real world experiences, but hey maybe thats just me I guess.

Ty ty Steve xx

yea thx Steve!

WE DON'T CARE IF WE ARE CHEATING GIVE US THE ANSWERESSSSSSSS

so who df is right dang!?

The answer is an Irrational number is non terminating and an integer includes every number along with negatives and zeros

hope this helps everyone ya'll the best.😁

im stupid thats why im cheating :)

ugh got tagged bye 🙄

I agree with @I dont know me

how about all of you mind your own business and focus on whatever your on here for instead of worrying about why we’re cheating, it has nothing to do with you like just shut up😭

Wow then why are you one this cite? Also people come on here to cheat because teachers wont or dont explain the problem to the student and then cant figure it out. They come on here with people who have been in the same spot as they have. So when you tell someone to "stop cheating" you cant change there decision if they want to cheat. I come on here to cheat as well because nothing the teacher tells me works and I cant figure it out. Also yes I did read every single one of the questions and things. Again for the people who do cheat I understand you and other people on here who tell you to stop cheating just dont. Wow that is the longest pharaghe I think I have ever typed. 0_0

Thank you Steve xx

Rational numbers are parts of whole numbers while integers are opposites of (positive) whole numbers. Do you have any other questions?

Answers for the test just took it--------------------------------------------------------------

1.In order to solve the problem 0.000027 ÷ 0.000009, the following steps must be followed for proper understanding.

Firstly, we will convert each decimal into its standard form.

For 0.000027 in standard form= 2.7×10^-5(note that the decimal point has been shifted 5times to the front hence the reason for multiplying the resulting value by 10^-5).

Similarly, 0.000009 in standard form is 9×10^-6

0.000027 ÷ 0.000009 = 2.7×10^-5/9×10^-6

In indices, the division of the powers of 10 will become subtraction, therefore;

2.7×10^-5/9×10^-6

= 2.7/9 × 10^(-5-(-6))

= 0.3×10^(-5-(-6))

= 0.3×10^-5+6

= 0.3×10^1

= 0.3×10

= 3

100% correct

QUIT justifying yourselves because you guys are doing the wrong thing! show integrity!!

z, I disagree, we live in a country where we are blessed to have a high education and an expensive curriculum. If you wanna 'pass' by cheating, you are showing how ungrateful you are to live in amazing country. Everyone who is on here, I encourage you guys to stop cheating and do your work on your own. I promise you that when you get a passing grade when you dont cheat, its the best feeling.

Stop cheating. I am only here to stand up for what is right. this website should be banned tbh.
If you are cheating to pass, you are better off not having an education and not go to school and have no job and waste your life.
stop cheating.

Guys, I don't think you guys should cheat... you won't learn anything... just to let you know guys... don't cheat...

Dang, you all are going to get yourselves into trouble for cheating. Your teachers have resources for you to use to help you learn this stuff. Why don't you go back to study this topic using the teacher's recommendations? That is what I would do if I were you guys.
