can someone explain to me why (3)/(5) and (27)/(45) are equivalent fractions.

If you simplify 27/45 by dividing the numerator and the denominator by 9 you will get 3/5.

27/25/9
27/25*1/9=3/5
3/25=3/5
5*3=3*25
15=75
75/15=3

If u multiply 3/5 by 9/9 you get 27/45
