  1. (3/4) * (5/2) = ?

  2. 1 batch = 2.5 cups flour
    0.75 batch = ? cups flour

To get to 0.75 batch from 1 batch, we multiply by 0.75. We must therefore do the same to the right-hand side.

As Ms. Sue has said, the answer will be 2.5 x 0.75 = 1 7/8 cups
