We know from historical records that the Great Pyramid of Giza was originally about 147 m tall. Assuming it was built with its faces at 52 degree inclines, what was the original length of one side of its base? Round your answer to the nearest meter.

91 m
115 m
181 m
230 m

okay so just know that on part 1b, the answer is not a (91) and 2 part b is not c ( the answer is probably a)

Make a side-view of the pyramid, and drop a perpendicular.

let the side of the base be 2x, (that way I don't have fractions in my variable)

in the right-angled triangle
tan 52° = 147/x
x = 147/tan52
= ...
then base side
= 2x
= ....
