New York has always had the highest population density of any U.S. city.   1. Sanitation means the disposal of human waste (garbage, sewage, etc.), and clean water for consumption. Was that a pressing problem with lots of people concentrated in a big city like New York?

  7. To your second question, the answer is sanitation. It means being clean, using things to help with that and therefore less bacteria is spread.
