  1. We can use a proportion. Cross multiply and solve for c.

    2.5/1 = c/15

    c = 37.50

  2. is it $3.75 because the unit rate is $2.50/1 and to get 10 you multiply the denominator, 1, by 15 and what u do to the bottom you do to the other so $2.50*15=37.5 and it equals 37.5/10 which is 3.75

  4. It can't be $3.75 because the cost is much more in 2013 than it was in 1980.
