6th Grade Math Help & FAST!!!

I only have 2 questions. 1 is multiple choice and one I have to type so please help. 1. Which set of output values correctly completes the function table? This is the function table: y= 2x - 4. Input (x) 6, 2, -4. Output (y) those three slots all have question marks. A. 8, 2, -12, B. 8, 0, 12, C. 8, 0, -12, and D. -8, 0, 12. Here is my 2nd question: Complete the function table and write the function rule. Input (x)the 5 numbers in the slots in the input (x) is 32, 14, ?, -2, and -10. Finally, the 5 numbers in the slots in output (y) are: 20, 2, -6, -14, and ?. Please help!

  1. #1 B. and D. don't make sense because B doesn't have any negative numbers and in the function table there is one negative number. For D. even though there is a negative number the negative number they gave is in the wrong spot. So, it is either A. or C.

  2. For number 1 I figured out the answer it is A. 8, 2, -12. JUST SOMEONE PLEASE HELP WITH THE SECOND QUESTION!!!!

  3. #1
    if x=6, y = 2(6)-4 = 8
    if x=2, y =2(2)-4 = 0
    ifx=-4, y=2(-4)-4 = -12
    So, choice is C

    #2.
    x: 32, 14, ? , -10
    y: 20, 2, -6, -14, ?

    so lets use the first and 2nd:
    (32,20), (14,2)
    slope = (20-2)/(32-14) = 18/18 = 1

    so y = 1x + b
    sub in (14,2)
    2 = 14 + b
    b = -12

    your equation is : y = x - 12

    now use that to find the missing parts
