  8. Yes, sorry about 1. It was industrialization. The fact is that African Americans did have more opportunity to form their own businesses in segregated communities as blacks moved from the farms to the city for work, but that was an unintended consequence that actually was a factor in the Race Riot of 1906. I should have thought of that in advising you. I'm sorry.
