On question 2, Carl Vinson is not on record as having said anything memorable about the New Deal. His pet project was strengthening the Navy. CCC workers didn't strike. And farmers were helped by the New Deal. That leaves Talmadge, but I don't know what he did.

Okay, Talmadge was a leading critic of the New Deal, so I'd go with b. for question 2.
