Sarah, it's been a while since you posted. Apparently Ms. Sue has logged off for the night. Perhaps I can help. Question 18 is correct: farmers. Question 17? The Americans under Washington were overwhelmed because the British had warships in New York Harbor, in part. He tried to draw them upriver where the warships could not sail. It didn't work out very well, but he tried. After that, he retreated inland to New Jersey and Pennsylvania to try to, at least, keep the British contained in New York. Question 19: The heart of any kind of democracy is the voters (suffrage). The voters elect the legislature in a representative democracy. Question 20: I really don't know this one and am not finding any websites that would give an accurate answer. C, 500,000 seems reasonable, but see what you can find by Googling the question.
