    y' = 1/x-√(x^2-1) * (1-x/√(x^2-1))
    = -1/√(x^2-1)

    so, the arc length is

    ∫[1,√2] √(1+y'^2) dx
    = ∫[1,√2] √(1+1/(x^2-1)) dx
    = ∫[1,√2] x/√(x^2-1) dx
