y = -(1/2) x + 4
so slope = -1/2

-2 = -(1/2) 5 + b
-2 = -2.5 + b
b = .5 = 1/2
so
y = -(1/2) x + 1/2

y = -(1/2) x + 1/2

3. the new equation will differ from the old equation only in the constant
so new: x+2y = c , but (5,-2) is on it, so
5-4 = c = 1

x + 2y = 1
