I changed 2 to C

That's correct, but you're just guessing. Gettysburg and Vicksburg, fought at the same time, together turned the tide of the Civil War. Grant's capture (after a long siege) of Vicksburg, MS split the South and put control of the vital transportation link of the River into Union hands. Perhaps it can be argued that Vicksburg was even more vital to the North's success than Gettysburg, but both were very, very important.

I said on 2 that I did think it also might be C and thank u for checking my questions

Just a note, Lila. The battles of the Civil War are important to know about. It was the bloodiest War in American history and VERY significantly changed American history. The ending of slavery was, arguably, the most significant "event" in our history after the Revolution. Battles are important, but the cause and the results of the Civil War are MOST important.

i got it all wrong

Good, that's what I thought, but it's best to look it up if unsure. :) A is NOT the answer to question 2. Shiloh is in Tennessee, no where near the Mississippi River. Gettysburg is correct for question 1. The battle sent Lee's army packing back to the South, ending his invasion of the North, and turning the tide of the war.
