Find f'(x): f(x)=(x^2-3x)/x^2
A. 2x-3/x^2
B. 2x-3/2x
C. 1-(3/x)
D. 3/x^2
E. None of these
I get confused on the simplifying part.
f(x)=(x^2-3x)/x^2
you could use the quotient rule, but ....
f(x)=(x^2-3x)/x^2
= 1 - 3/x = 1 - 3x^-1
f'(x) = 3x^-2 = 3/x^2
