Graph the system of constraints and find the value of x and y that maximize the objective function.

Constraints {x >= 0
y >= 0
y <= 3
y <= -x+5}

Objective Function C=-5x+3y

a) 0,0
b) 2,3
c) 5,0
d) 0,3

I am a mom going crazy. I did horrible in math in school. Someone please help. Thank you

This Quiz was hard so I'm helping the ones that needs the answers idc how ANYONE feels about cheating...…

1. C. (5,0)
2. C. 20 of type A; 20 0f type B
3. D. no solution
4. A.-5
5. D. 11 -12 7 5 12 -7
6. A. (-6,8)

I just took the Unit 4: Linear Systems | Lesson 6: Solving Systems Using Matrices Quiz Part 1. These are my answers.

1.) C~ (5,0)
2.) A~ 20 of type A; 20 of type B
3.) D~ no solution
4.) A~ -5
I got #5 wrong but I said C. The answer to #5 is not C. Unfortunately, it won't tell me the correct answer. :( I'm sorry. @//Just Helping says it's D.
6.) A~ (-6, 8)

I know how hard math can be, and I know how difficult it is to see the naturally more 'smart' students get rewarded while the students who work hard but can still never quite get to the same level as them get scolded. Hope this helped somebody :) Stay safe everybody

UNIT 4 LESSON 4 QUICK CHECK

1.D, (5,0)
2.B, 40 of type A: 80 of type B
3.C, x= 1,600; y= 0

I forgot to say this is for the Unit 4 Lesson 6 solving systems using matrices Quiz part 1

#1 is D. (0,3)

Thank you Reiny. I also appreciate the way you explained it out for me. Can I go to you for any Honors Algebra 2 help?

I just took the Unit 4: Lesson 6: Quiz Part 1. The answers are:

1. D (0,3)
2. A (20 of type A; 20 of type B)
3. D (no solution)
4. A (-5)
5. D (11 -12 | 7)
(5 12 | -7)
6. A (-6, 8)

These are 100% correct I just took the quiz.

No all of yall are trippin #1 is 5,0

YOU GUYS I PUT D FOR QUESTION 1 AND IT WAS WRONG IT WAS (5,0)

It is not D. I got a C. The right answer is C.

if you got the objective function as "C=7x-3y" then its c which is (5,0)

Hey so all these comments confused me because you guys are just arguing over something saying that you got #1 wrong bc you picked c… idk what test you’re taking but these are the correct answers it told me at the end.

1. (5,0)
2. 20 of type A; 20 of type B
3. no solution
4. -5
5. [11 -12 | 7]
[ 5 12 | -7]
6. (-6, 8)

If those aren’t your answers then we have different tests. Just in case this is the exact question for #1

Graph the system of constraints and find the value of x and y that maximize the objective function.

Constraints {x>=0 y>=0}
{y<=1/5x+2 5>=y+x}
Objective Function: C=7x-3y

Hope this helps <3

guys if your #1 has the objective function C=-5x+3y than the answer is (0,3) but if your objective function is C=7x-3y than the answer is (5,0)

Nobody is 100% correct because I just check on all the answers on Connexus.

1. (5,0)
2. 20 of type A; 20 of type B
3. no solution
4. -5
5. [11 -12 | 7]
[ 5 12 | -7]
6. (-6, 8)

Ok y'all don't listen to anyone I just took it and got an 83 because I put c it's d for 1 everything else is like normal

You guys make no sense. Anyway maybe we have different numbers in the question... but if you have:

"Graph the system of constraints and find the value of x and y that maximize the objective function.
Constraints
{x >= 0
y >= 0
y <= 3
y <= -x+5}
Objective Function C=-5x+3y"

then the answer is (0,3) - which for me is D

this is bc you are plugging it into the objective function to see basically which coordinates get you the biggest amount for C. - so solve it yourself if you want by just taking the answer choices and plugging each x value in for x in the objective function and each y value in for y in the objective function. Make sure you are using the objective function though not any of the constraints! Also I just submitted the test and got that right. Hope that helps some. If you want more help let me know and I've got the answers to the rest if any of you would like them as well.

Yeah #1 is (0,3), Got me a C on the Quiz :/

@Just_Helping is 1000% percent correct, except some answers are represented by the wrong letter but if you look at the actual answer then you will get 100% on the Unit 4 Lesson 6 solving systems using matrices Quiz part 1. Thx

just took the quiz 1 is c not d

ITS (0,3) YALL GOT ME A 83 :((

1 is c. I listened to the other two guys.

I know it is confusing but answers 2-6 are correct for the tree people who gave all the answers but number 1 is D for real just listen to us I got an 83.3%

I just took unit 4 lesson 6 solving systems using matrices and 1 is most definitely c(5,0)

The correct answer for #1 is NOT (0,3)! I don’t know if y’all are joking around or??? But for all those wondering the correct answer to #1 is (5,0). Do not listen to those saying it is (3,0)…you will get it wrong.

its d

Oml is right i had C=-5x+3y and the answer was (0,3) !!!!

SO i got a 83 percent so let me help you.

for the first question, if ur question is “C=-5x+3y” then u hav to put (0,3)

BUT if ur question is “C=7x-3y” then put (0.5)

find the minimum value of c=4x+3y

Just helping is right lol, don't look at the letters tho look at the answers cause the answers were all switched around for me

There are two different problems. if you had the one with the objective function c=-5x+3y then your answer for questions #1 is (0,3) but if you had the other one c=7x-3y your answer would be (5,0)

1. D (0,3)

2. A
3. D
4. A
5. D
6. A
I put C for #1 and it got me a 83%

Study is right :) 100%

travis' nail polish is correct :D

i got 100% tysm

Just took the quiz. Can confirm with confidence that the correct choice is C.

1-D (0,3) i put c and it’s WRONG!

2-A 20 types of a;20 types of b
3-D no solution
4-A -5
5-D 11 -12 7 5 12 -7
6-A (-6,8)
if you put c on 1 like i did you will get a 83.3% PUT D FOR #1!!!!

it is d you cant trust me im smarter than all of you.

This is not that hard

x≥ 0 , everthing to the right of the y-axis
y≥ 0 , everthing above the x-axis
So far you are in quadrant I of the x-y plane

y ≤ 3 , everthing from the above, but also below the horizontal line y = 3

lastly y ≤ -x + 5
sketch a line leaning 45° to the left with a y-intercept of 5, shade in everthing below that line
My diagram has a simple trapezoid consisting of a
rectangle with a right-angled triangle attached

now our Objective Function is
C = -5x + 3y , which is a line with slope 5/3
letting that line go through the origin, let it slide parallel to itself over the shaded region until you reach the farthest point from the origin.
On my diagram that looks like (5,0)
