why is it important not to overuse names in dialogue?

  2. I wasn't sure if it was because it was boring, or uncommon/stiff way, if that makes any senses. I guess what I am saying, if someone has a name in every sentence, it starts to sound a little.. stiff.

  3. Yes, stiff is a good way to describe it. But check out the meaning of redundant (repetitious) because that's a large part of it, too. If you don't want to use the word "boring," use "redundant"!!
