  1. Before someone else answers in Spanish much better than I can, I would like to suggest that you pay more attention to the rules of capitalization in English (and Spanish), lest you be penalized in future job and college applications. The following words in your question should have been capitalized: How, My, Amethyst, I, Ghana, America, Fontana, Corona, San Francisco (two words), and Spanish.

  2. Thank you for using the Jiskha Homework Help Forum. Capitalization is also important in Spanish. In addition, if you are studying Spanish, you should DO this first before we HELP you!

Me llamo "Amatista."

Actually the last sentence would be best with the Subjunctive, but unless you were at least in Level III you would not hav studied that, so I avoided it with a simpler construction, which is also correct.

  3. P.S. Oops! Toward the end the "hav" should be "have!" Sorry, my computer is so bad at skipping spaces and letters!

    Mea culpa, Sra

  5. Just a few things for Susie.
    1. accents = América / años
    2. spelling of "llo " = Yo (tthree times)
    3. accent = algún día, pediatría
    4. Since you don't know to whom she is speaking "estás" for "tú" is too familiar = está
    5. Y ou can also say "la escuela segundaria"
    6. Not "te" but formal = le
    7. aconsejaría = I WOULD versus aconsejo = I DO, plus trates should be formal = trate and spelling "aser" is "hacer" plus "te des" becomes "se dé."

  6. Hi, this is how I'd translate it:
