  1. Using
    Distance = speed * time
    (a)
    Total time of travel
    =800m/6s + 800m/8s
    = 233.3s
    (b)
    Total distance = 800+800=1600m
    Average speed = total distance/total time
    =1600m/233.3s
    = 6.86 m/s
