A newspaper reporter wants to know how popular the hobby of bird watching is in the city. He asked people at the local bird refuge if they watched birds as a hobby. Which of the following best explains whether the reporter's data is valid or not?

A. The data is valid for the entire city because the bird refuge is located in the city.<----------
B. The data is not valid for the entire city because people can have more than one hobby.
C. The data is not valid for the entire city because bird watchers are more likely to visit a bird refuge.
D. The data is valid for the entire city because a bird refuge is a good place to find people who like to watch birds.

Okay well I just got my test answers. I completely BOMED that test. I got all of the essay questions wrong. Here are the real answers:

19.
A. The graph could be misleading because the vertical scale uses very small intervals and starts at 3.8, which makes the changes seem greater than they really are.
B. The graph could be redrawn with its vertical scale starting at zero and with larger intervals.

20.
A. Mean: 78, Median: 80.5, Mode: 58. (My teacher did not reply on B so i'm guessing its right.)

21. A. 125 turtles. B. 150 turtles.

22.
A. All but the lowest value for Soil B and the highest value for Soil B fall within the same range.
B. Soil A: 71.8. Soil B: 75.
C. Soil A: 8.16, Soil B: 5.4.
D: The heights of the sunflowers planted in Soil A are more variable because the means of the heights in each group are about the same, but the mean absolute deviation for Soil A is greater.

Everybody shut the hell up and give the people the correct answers

Heyo! I find it kinda funny, you guys are saying how "oh you'll never get anywhere in life" etc... when in all actuality when the hell is the double line graph along with the stem-and-leaf plot. Hey! I can't do my taxes but mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell, and that sure as hell will get me a job.

memes

C is correct.

(Hi) some people don't like like what you said but i believe its the truth some of them know that there cheating and they don't care but i agree with what you said because one time i got a 30 from cheating and my scores now that i get are an 85 or higher! everybody on here is smart but i know some of you people know that but just don't fell like doing the work.

Kyle was right. He only got 8 right

Use the like buttons plz

Okay i got it C

Yes, C

Are you 100% right Cz this is a big grade in math

Please what are the answers

Okay I will give the CORRECT answers after I am done and I will not give it like 1. D no I will say something like 1. 17

OK

If you guys haven't already figured out.... the questions are different for people! It would save you guys time to not post the answers, and not argue about if this is the "real" answers. So yes, please stop posting the "real" answers, they change up the questions...-

g'day

-OGW

only 8 are right ur wrong don't trust him

Also, Kyle, either you just didn't click the right circle or your just trying to be rude.

First answer is wrong, it's d.

jiskha is wrong'

i’m pretty sure all of these answers are wrong, so i think the test is randomized for each student to prevent cheating so if you give answers, write the question next to it so ppl know

I looked this website up. It is a homework help site, for example.

Person 1: Can anyone help me? (Tells question and gives answer choices) I think its (a answer choice) but I'm not sure.

Person 2: I can help you (tells Person 1 the steps than the answer).

We aren't suppose to go all number than answer. We are suppose to explain to others when they need help. So no one is cheating if they ask for help. Good bye.

hey guys I can post my answers in l like 30 min

btw the reason everyone thinks they're wrong is cuz ur putting "a, b, c, d, e"
the questions are normally mixed up so if you put the whole answer then they'll get it right.

for number 4 i think its actually all of the above mb

i got it wrong when I put monthly sales...so put d instead of c

Is she right?

yea she got everything right but number 4

Everyone is saying "@ are wrong" but fr the questions change they change them almost all the time because one time i was doing a test and i pressed submit and it didnt submit and all the questions were different and i had to re-do the test again, so stop getting mad cause YOU got the answers wrong by even trusting answers that say only the letter to the answer and question and not the full typed answer and questions.

Please, note that answers may vary for each student. Additionally, cheating is not a solution and students must make an effort to learn the material and succeed on their own merits.

Oh okay my second choice would be D

Is the other question right

can someone just give the correct answers plz

Answer sup they really need the help. They are failing horribly.

1) 14

2) 750
3) The data is not valid for the entire city because bird watchers are more likely to visit a bird refuge
4) monthly sales...
5) which do you like better, coffee or fresh, tasty water?
6) 3750
7) 2.86 days
8) 47
9) d, the one with the middle line on 24
10) 30
11) The graph exaggerates the difference in the number...
12) The mean of the data is not about 81,500
13) The last one, the one with 5 for the second box
14) line graph
15) 147

that's for displaying and analyzing data unit test math 7th grade

so whos right ;-;

shes is wrong only some are right

These answers will indeed vary so to truly help write them instead of just the letter and people could see if any of those match theirs

That's a good point! It's better to provide the full question and answer choices so that students can compare them to their own test and see if they match. It also helps to provide explanations or steps to solve the problems, as it promotes learning and understanding of the material.

oof i would put my answers but I'm still stuck on this test, after i figure it out ill put questions AND answers, written out. It'll take a bit tho so hang tight!

<3

Take your time and don't stress too much! It's important to take breaks and approach the test with a clear mind. Good luck!

ok im getting close to finishing! Hang on a little longer!

Take your time! We'll be patiently waiting for your updates.

no

review your text about valid sampling and bias

No.

You want to know how many people in the city watch birds. The reporter's data is not valid because he's only surveyed bird watchers. He's ignored the 90% or so of the people who don't go to the bird refuge.
