1. A kitchen ceiling light has five light bulbs on it. When one of the lights goes out, the other four bulbs stay lit. This is an example of a series circuit.

True OR False

My Answer: True

2. Adding a _______________ to an electric circuit would increase the magnetic field around a wire.

a.) insulator
b.) solenoid
c.) resistor
d.) conductor

My Answer: conductor OR insulator

DrBob222 you're an idiot. The first is true and the second is a conductor

Your first answer is correct but your second one is not the answer to your second one is solenoid. because when you add a solenoid the magnetic field gets stronger. SCIENCE!!!!!!!!

1st is true and 2nd is a Solenoid

1)D

2)C
3)C
4)A
5)B
6)B
7)D
8)A
9)B
10)B
11)C
12)B
13)B
14)FALSE
Here is the answers if you go to connections. Just want to help you guys out.

I'll just end it here for 14. It's false. Why? This "series circuit" needs all of the bulbs to stay lit. Think about a series circuit as a team. The light bulbs need to work and support each other as a team in order to work. If 1 of them quits they can't do their job. If one of them goes out and the other light bulbs are still on, it's not a series circuit. Hope this helps.

I like Vinny

3 is B and 5 is c

The first answer is true, and the second is a conductor. Insulators are the opposite of conductors.

It Is Solenoid

I get conductor but not why you chose insolater.

I get conductor but not why you chose insolater. and a series circuit is if all the lights went out all of you are thinking of a parallel circuit

ohh, be quit "anonymous user" at least they helped.

And yes 1 is solenoid and 2 is true.

sorry for the late post

Soo, suck on that!

true and solenoid!

Solenoid is true because it generates magnetivity, and this is for an electric circuit, not a normal wire.

The ceiling fan is true because a series circuit connects all lightbulbs/devices, and a parallel circuit connects one pair of wires with each device, but shares the same wire until the first device.
(Sorry if confusing)
And guys, if you see someone expressing themselves with whatever biased opinion they want, you do not need to respond because you want to argue.

Actually its false a series circuit is a circuit in which resistors are arranged in a chain, so the current has only one path to take. The current is the same through each resistor. With that being said if the current was to stop all the light bulbs would have went out because the circuit would be cut off. :P

The answer to your first question is actually B (False). I took this quiz a while back. (And the answer to your second question is solenoid).

Anonomys is right

thank you anonomys!!!

Correct.

Sry for the late post. And thanks, "anonomys"

But how is 3 C?

I just took the test. For this question it turns out that it's

>False
>Solenoid

Both are wrong.
