A steel block has a volume of 0.08m3 and a density of 7,840kg/m3 what is the force of gravity acting on the block(the weight in water?

  1. Ws = 0.08m^3 * 7840kg/m^3 * 9.8=6147 N.
    = Wt. of the steel in air.

    Ww=0.08m^3 * 1000kg/m^3 * 9.8 = 784 N. =
    Wt. of the water displaced.

    Ws in water = 6147 - 784 = 5363 N.
