The diameter of a cylindrical can of motor oil is 3.5 inches (in). The height of the can is 6.5 in. Approximately how many cubic inches of oil will the can hold?

  1. You are looking for the volume of the can.

    The formula for the volume of a cylinder is base x height... or (pi x radius^2)x(height).

    According to my calculations, the answer should be approximately 62.5 inches cubed.
