how much would you have to raise the temperature of a copper wire(originally at 20degree celcius) to increase its resistance by 15%? express your answer in percentage.note a=0.0068per degree celcius

  • physics -

    Ro + Ro*0.0068/oC*(T2 -T1) = 1.15Ro.
    Divide both sides by Ro:
    0.0068/oC*(T2-20) = 1.15,
    T2-20 = 169,
    T2 = 189oC.

    %Increase = ((T2-T1)/T1)*100%
    %Increase = ((189-20)/20)100 = 845%.
