How do you find the original function given the equation of a tangent line and two points?

No way to tell, unless you know you are working with something simple, like a quadratic. If
y = ax^2+bx+c
and you have two points, then you also have
2ax+b = slope of the tangent line
Then you have three equations to solve for a,b,c.
