I have to do a newspaper project where I create my own newspaper by choosing one of the civilizations I have. (I chose Rome)

It then asks me to
"Create a headline story : This article should be researched. You can choose to write an opinion article of a particular historical event or a sequence of acutal events. (ex politics scientific findings important events etc)
International Story : This sartickle must be written with a bias of the civilization you chose. The article must be written about an event that has occured (ex war, conflict)

So Am I suppose to add two separate stories in this newspaper? Or is the headline and international story just one story

The assignment sounds like two stories: the headline article, which would be on the front page in a real newspaper, and the international article, which could fill up other space that the headline article doesn't fill up, and perhaps continue onto another page.

If you really aren't certain, you could email your teacher or have someone email your teacher to ask (if that's an option).

I emailed as well I am just waiting for a response.

So for the headline, it says I have to write an opinion article. So does that mean I choose an event and explain what happened and explain what I feel about the situation?

Some ideas for the lead article:

Caesar conquered Gaul
Caesar assassinated
Hadrian builds wall in England

What would the international be?

Would I have to connect the headline article to the international or can they both be totally different things

I don't see anything in the instructions you posted about an international slant. However, the three I suggested certainly have international effects.

If I choose to do the death of Caesar as the headline what would be an international story?

The death of a world leader always affects international relations. Other nations wonder how new leadership will change trade and military operations. How will Caesar's death affect the Roman colonies?

thanks. so just to clarify for the headline, while I write the situation of Caesar's death I also have to put my opinion about it?

I would write a straight news story. Then, if possible, you could write an op ed piece about it.

In your newspaper project, you are required to create two separate stories: a headline story and an international story. These two stories should be distinct from each other and cover different topics.

1. Headline Story:
For the headline story, you are expected to choose a specific historical event or a sequence of actual events related to the civilization you chose (in your case, Rome). This article should be based on thorough research, presenting factual information rather than personal opinions. You can write about a significant political development, scientific discoveries, important events, or any other topic of historical significance related to Rome.

2. International Story:
The international story should be written from the perspective or bias of the chosen civilization (Rome). Here, you need to write an article about an event that has occurred, such as war, conflict, diplomatic relations, or any other international development involving Rome. While writing this story, you should focus on showcasing the viewpoint, interests, or achievements of Rome in relation to the event being reported.

Remember to ensure that both stories have a clear beginning, middle, and end and follow a journalistic writing style. It's important to cite your sources for the headline story and create a well-researched and balanced narrative for the international story, highlighting the Roman perspective.
