William, Jan, and Greg have a total of $26. Greg has the most money. Jan has twice as much money as William. Greg has $11. How much money does Jan have?

The answer to Jan is 10$. Because Greg has 11$ so you need to make 26$ from 11$ So what I did is 11+10+5=26 Because Jan has twice as William so Jan has 10$ half of 10$ is 5$ So that means William has 5$

Answer: 10$

Greg: 11 Dollars

Answer: Jan has 10 Dollars to spend at the movies.

Im so confused now :/

x + 2x + 11 = 26

3x + 11 = 26

3x = 15

x = 5

Oh well thank you, I had a feeling like the first one made more sense.

You are very welcome.
